ECS data-links are used worldwide by military, police and security agencies. These data-links are used to transfer mission-critical surveillance information from point of capture to the decision-makers. All of our data links employ robust Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) technology; the technology has been optimised for surveillance giving High Definition video and superior range.
Evenlode, which is our latest system, is a highly flexible and adaptable, bi-directional Internet Protocol (IP) data link providing a wide range of Information Exchange Requirements in a variety of Air, Ground and Maritime environments. It has the capability to transmit and receive dual High Definition video, telemetry, audio, GPS and IP data. The IP capability enables remote control of systems and sensors, deployed on air, maritime and land platforms.
ECS provides secure and proprietary encryption and key systems to ensure information Security (IS). All data that is to be transmitted is first encrypted. ECS has deployed national encryption schemes for Police networks securing information for multiple or single agency operations. ECS offers a range of encryption algorithms for the export market. The Company has provided encryption for air-to-ground systems and to secure data between receive and monitoring sites on the ground connected by IP networks.
Training and equipment can be provided to enable customers to generate, manage, load and zeroise encryption keys. Data sent and received by Evenlode has the capability of interfacing with a separate encryption module. This allows encryption to be completely removed from equipment when not in use and allows the customer to carry multiple modules for various operations. Modules may be removed from the equipment and managed centrally. Separate encryption modules can be provided by ECS. Alternatively, assistance can be provided to allow customers to integrate their own module. It is also possible to incorporate a 3rd party encryption scheme within this module.
ECS has extensive experience of both rotary and fixed-wing downlink installations. ECS is proud to have designed and proven a Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) High Definition (HD) system compliant with UK Home Office specifications MG42C, DVB-T, MPEG-2 and H264. ECS is the only company able to offer HD video link transmission using Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation thus achieving a resilient link with superior range. The ECS digital Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) Standard Definition (SD) Downlink equipment is also designed to comply with Home Office MG42C, DVB-T and MPEG2 specifications. The system has been optimised for air to ground use. ECS has a long history and a proven reputation of providing helicopter downlink equipment.
