General Description

The ECS digital downlink equipment is designed to comply with Home Office MG42C, DVB-T and MPEG2 specifications. The system has been optimised for air to ground use and is available in a number of frequency bands.

ECS has a proven reputation for aircraft downlink equipment and considerable development and trials have gone in to the design and production of this system. Utilising the latest transmission technique - Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM), the ECS system offers significant advantages over more conventional technologies.

The digital down link system is fully compatible with all COFDM Receiver equipment. Selection of the receiver equipment will depend on the application of the receiver i.e. static or mobile.

The Digital downlink transmitter is available in set bands between 1.2 GHz and 4.5 GHz*
